Town of Waukesha Snow and Ice Control Policies and Procedures

The TOWN OF WAUKESHA has used its allocation of salt for the 2013-2014 winter season. The Town has been able to obtain 500 additional tons and will be mixing in a 1/1 ration with sand. There is currently a salt shortage and communities are travelling as far as Iowa to acquire salt and supplies. Due to the shortage, the TOWN OF WAUKESHA is following recent policies and procedures set by some of our neighboring communities and will be salting only intersections, hills and curves. The TOWN OF WAUKESHA will continue to maintain reasonable safety throughout the remainder of the winter season. Please use extra caution when driving during winter conditions.
